I discovered The E-Myth by Michael Gerber in the early 2000's, as a total mind-shift for entrepreneurs. Gerber clearly cuts through the myth of; because you are good at the technical skill of doing the work in a business means you can successfully own and manage the business. Absolute myth. The technical work versus the management work are two completely different skill sets. Gerber guides us how to think and create something that you can actually manage without all of the frustration that usually comes by not understanding the E-Myth. Absolutely eye opening.
