Derrick's keynotes are derived from decades of adventure out in the wild, 45 years of experience in the business world and 30+ years of intentionally looking deep within himself and others to find out how we tick as human beings and to find our best selves. During the 2020 Covid pandemic, Derrick had the chance to work with the local Small Business Development Center, where the director there offered him the opportunity to create an online program based on Start With Why (Author Simon Sinek) and other great books referencing how to dig deep and pivot as needed in times of uncertainty and needed change. From there, started the real work of finding his own Why and then creating a coaching and consulting business to help other people do the same, and ultimately create a lifetime of fulfillment for himself and others. The main focus of any of Derrick's keynotes is based on the audience he is speaking to. Derrick's breadth of experience in many aspects of life, business and deep thought, allows him to cater any keynote towards where the audience is at and as needed, to help participants see the potential of fulfillment for themselves.
